PCI is changing from Clover Security to PCI Portal
(PCI) Payment Card Industry& (DSS) Data Security Standard Updates
Our processor is happy to announce a new and enhanced PCI Management Portal participating in the Fiserv PCI Program. Beginning May 31, 2024, we migrated from the Clover Security portal to the new Fiserv PCI Management Portal. The new portal login is: https://pciapply.com/pcicompliance
A few of the new enhancements are:
• Ability to easily manage your portfolio’s PCI Program through added new tools, increased functionality, and access capabilities.
• Increased Merchant support and communication in the ISO Management Portal.
• Wide variety of standard and custom reporting to create meaningful analytics, track and manage compliance.
• Highly intuitive, user-friendly interface for ease of use and simple navigation when completing the PCI SAQ and scan.
What is PCI Compliance?
Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance refers to the data security standards that businesses must adhere to if they capture, process, transmit, or store credit or debit card information. PCI compliance is vital for any organization that takes card payments.
As credit card usage expanded around the turn of the century, each major card brand (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) developed their own systems for protecting against fraud. Soon, however, these card brands united to create an industry-wide standard for protection, called the PCI DSS. The first iteration was launched in 2004 and has undergone many revisions to stay current. The most recent version became effective on April 1, 2024.
To establish and maintain PCI compliance, there are 12 basic requirements every business needs to meet. For information about official Requirements and Security Assessment Procedures, you can find them on the PCI website.
There are two fees involved with the new PCI portal. There is a monthly fee of $15.00 and a monthly non-receipt of PCI validation fee of $30.00 that will be charged to your account for failure to submit the PCI Self Assessment Questionnaire annually. This is a questionnaire that your organization is required to complete that attests to your organization's proper use of credit card information. Be sure to complete your required audit annually to avoid the non-receipt fees.
The new portal login is: https://pciapply.com/pcicompliance. For assistance with the portal, please call (833) 207-8338 Monday-Friday, 7a-7p CT. You will need to provide the agent with your merchant ID number and the last four digits of your tax ID number in order to access your account. Email and online chat is also available within the portal.
National Nonprofit Day is commemorated on August 17 each year to recognize nonprofit organizations’ ongoing efforts to serve the local community. If you’ve ever volunteered, you’re well aware of the significance of these charitable organizations.
Nonprofits throughout the country work to promote awareness and offer assistance to individuals who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Their activities contribute to the shaping of our society and provide hope for a brighter future.
We all contribute in some manner, whether it’s by volunteering, giving, or just spreading the word about a nonprofit. In 2017, Americans donated more than $400 billion to a variety of charity organizations!
Five facts about the nonprofit sector:
It is a crowd favorite
Every year, a quarter of the population of the United States registers to volunteer.
End-of-the-year giving
Nonprofit organizations get more donations in December than any other month.
The employment genie
The nonprofit sector is the third-largest employer in the United States, employing over 12 million people and trailing only retail and manufacturing.
The world is becoming a better place
Donations to nonprofit organizations have reached unprecedented heights in the last 10 years.
Mobile phones are making us nicer people
Over 10% of nonprofit donations are made via mobile devices.
Transaction Fees
Would you like to give donors an opportunity to help offset the cost of transaction fees? If so, you are in luck. In case you didn't know, Paperless Transactions offers this option. If you currently have a donation page, we can add this for your donors.
If donors would like, they can opt-in to add transaction fees to add transaction fees in addition to their donation right on your donation page when asked to review the information they entered. This means more money for your cause and less money in fees! Here's an example:
The wording on the page would look something like this:
Help cover our transaction fees
Ο Yes, add $0.22 to my donation
In this example, we set donors using MasterCard an option to pay 1% of the total donation to help cover costs. The percentage is configurable by card brand and the amount paid in fees will be added to a custom field on your account for your accounting purposes.
For ACH transactions, we can add a flat fee to those transactions based on what you want it to be set at. The "Help cover our transaction fees" verbiage can also be customized. In addition, the check box can default to remain selected as well, so donors would need to opt-out instead of opt-in.
World Humanitarian Day is an annual observance on August 19 to honor the work of humanitarian workers and raise awareness of the need for assistance in crises around the world.

This powerful theme emphasizes the unwavering commitment and perseverance of humanitarian workers who provide critical assistance to vulnerable populations regardless of the difficulties they face. It highlights the dedication, courage, and ingenuity of these brave individuals who work tirelessly under challenging and often dangerous circumstances to deliver lifesaving aid and support to those in need.

Client Spotlight
Say hello to "Passion4People International", a nonprofit that works to bring hope to the overlooked and oppressed in South Asia. The mission of P4PI is to identify, train and coach movement leaders who will train and mobilize thousands of workers to reach the unreached and under-reached places until there is no place left. This organization was formed in 2006 and has been with Paperless Transactions since 2014. Their team is committed to helping others. They take their convictions and turn them into action. They focus on raising up Jesus and are servant leaders who are devoted to seeing transformed lives that transform families and their communities. Their programs include:
Life & Addiction Recovery Groups-Women and children suffer in poverty and abuse under the addiction of the men whom God designed to provide and protect them. In partnership with Celebrate Recovery, P4PI workers with local leaders to start life recovery groups helping men, women and children heal from their hurts, hang-ups and bad habits and experience the freedom to love and lead through the power of Jesus Christ.
Mobilizing Movement Makers-What is better than a community with a good servant leader? A community full of people who lead by serving one another. Movement makers are trained to equip those around them to live like Jesus so that entire families and communities are transformed. Movement makers are often tent-makers who work part-time so that they can serve their community without strings attached.
Jesus Follower Training-What does it look like to follow Jesus as a daily lifestyle in weekly rhythms? How can families live on mission together? P4PI offers training in practices to follow Jesus in sharing His message, shaping others in His character and shining His love for the least of these.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. ~ 1 John 4:16
Parting Words
Dear valued customers,
Did you know that you are the apple of God's eye? What does it mean? Several verses in the Bible mention “the apple of the eye.” This ancient metaphor is a reference to the “pupil” of the eye, which is exactly how some Bible translations render it. Here are three Old Testament uses of the phrase the apple of the eye: The wise father says to his son, “Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye” (Proverbs 7:2). The psalmist prays, “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings” (Psalm 17:8). And in Deuteronomy 32:10 Moses relates a poetic description of God’s care for Israel: “In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye.”
The apple of one’s eye is a very sensitive place and therefore very protected. Think about your own eye for a moment. What happens if something flies in it or toward it? Your eyelids reflexively close, your head turns, and your hands position themselves to ward off the threat. Our eyesight is valuable, and our body naturally protects that vulnerable spot to prevent injury.
Our team values you, and the work that you do. We work hard to support you and protect your payment processing and sensitive donor data so you can focus on your work. Thank you for the work that you do.
May God bless you,
George Reich
